Reading the Options Chain
Anatomy of a chain
An options chain lists every strike for one expiration. Calls are usually on the left, puts on the right, strikes down the middle.
Each row shows bid, ask, last price, volume, open interest, implied volatility and the Greeks.
On SPY, strikes are $1 apart near the money — hundreds of choices per expiration.
